Dreamers in Paradise

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
— Mark Twain

It's February, and many of our guests will (sadly) be coming in from harsh cold climates and in desperate need of our tropical sun, so we'll commence our journey by defrosting everyone at some of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica! We'll relax and do a lot of fun outdoor activities in the ocean, beach and nearby mountains. When our tans are up to par, we'll launch into the mountains in search of Costa Rica's ecological treasures. The objective will be to turn Costa Rica into our very own natural roller coaster. Our playground will be rivers, volcanoes, lakes, rainforests and jungles. We'll explore the highlights of the country as we  cross through many different provinces and micro-climates and interact deeply with nature, art, and people. The van will make lots of pitstops along the way to make sure we slow down and relax to enjoy the much needed peace and quiet. You'll discover early in the trip that "Pura Vida" time is different, days and hours will seem to last much longer than in the 'real world' and we'll squeeze every drop out of them!

The theme of Dreamers in Paradise is 'experiencing the new' so we'll put quite a bit of focus and energy into seeing and doing activities that most people haven't tried before. This doesn't mean that we won't try our hand at surfing or horse-back riding, but we will make a dedicated group effort to doing things that are new to all or most of us. Opening up our bodies by trying new activities will remind us of the importance of failing, learning, and trying again and this will help us feel the true intensity of life and amplify the effects of the journey.

The accommodations for this trip have been chosen for comfort and privacy. We’ll be mixing it up from coastal surf-hotels to haciendas but all our stays will be beautiful, comfortable and as much a part of the experience of trip as everything else.

Dreamers in Paradise is our longest trip and our most intense, so it's ideal for those that want to have a lot of beach time in February but who also want to invest time in going deep and seeing all sides of the nature of Costa Rica. This trip also has an optional extension bridge at the end. Those of us that want to continue along the ride to Costa Rica's largest beach festival 'Envision' will come along with me and enter the 4 day festival in style. We'll stay in the VIP section of the festival and I'll help you get settled in so you comfortably experience Costa Rica's 'Burning Man' on the beach.

The most unique aspect of traveling with The Dreamcatchers is that the one and only person who will know the itinerary is me, your guide. Even though every aspect of your trip will have been meticulously planned, booked, and pre-arranged, all our guests will get to experience the bliss of what letting go really means. Each of the days of this trip has a name that I have chosen for the symbolic meaning of how I want the experiences in that day to affect you. You'll only be able to understand the meaning of each name at the end of each day.
