DANCING WITH DARKNESS

Great music accompanies me as I paint in pitch darkness. My entire body becomes a paintbrush as the beats, lyrics and melodies guide my hands like the winds of a deep ocean storm on a sail boat— disallowing me from judging or thinking about what I'm doing. After some time, I kill the dark with a small candle and begin to see the forms that manifested through my canvas. The music carves these visions out — from their world into ours, so they can be seen and acknowledged.
